- My name is Abbie Martin and I am a Senior at Appalachian State University. I am a psychology major and a health promotion minor. I plan on graduating early with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psych. I am from Pawleys Island, South Carolina, so I guess you could say I am getting the best of both worlds: Summer at the beach and school in the mountains. I chose to go to ASU because I did not want to attend a school in-state and as soon as I set foot on the ASU campus, I knew that I was going to be part of this school. Also, ASU has one of the best psychology programs in North Carolina, which helped weigh my deciding factors. I am part of the ASU Swim Club, Diversity Scholars, Heltzer Honors Program, Peer Career, the Peel, and also Appalachian Honors Association (AHA).
